Change Team:
Tuesday Season End - Stick Swap - Ice Cream
by posted 05/13/2021

Hi parents,

As we near the end of the season, I want to thank everyone for making this season a huge success. Players, parents and coaches helped make the "post-covid" season fun, rewarding and successful! We are truly proud of our players for improving greatly throughout the season.

We look forward to our season ending event next Tuesday at 5pm. Players should bring equipment and their game jersey and shorts/skorts. Here is the itinerary:

  • 4:30 Arrival - arrival and assembly on the hill in red jerseys near the playground - we'll take program-wide photos at 4:50pm.
  • 5pm sharp - we'll head to the game fields. The girls teams will play a friendly, no stick check, no body checkinggame against the boys in their same grade. The boys will use only their helmet and the girls will have their goggles. The teams will switch sticks and play for the win! Boys goalies will play for the girls and the girls goalies play for the boys.
  • 6:00pm - we'll start releasing kids for ice cream - starting with Kindergarten
  • Extra Note - there are a few 6th graders who have a concert - please come, take pictures, play for 30 minutes, change in the car and grab your ice cream to go.

Game fields:

Field 1 - Kindergarten boys and girls

Field 2 - 1st/2nd boys and girls

Field 3 - 3rd grade boys and girls

Field 4 - 4th grade boys and girls

Field 5 - 5th grade boys and girls

Field 6 - 6th grade boys and girls - I know there is a concert, hopefully they can change in the car

Good luck in the games this weekend and we'll see everyone on Tuesday for the Stick Swap!

Matt

This past weekend and This weekend
by posted 05/13/2021

Good afternoon,

We played some tough lacrosse last week. I am so happy that the boys do not back down from a challenge and they never give up in the face of adversity. The 1st game was against Sycamore's 2nd graders and we fought hard to the end. The second game was a great effort as well. It was in that game that you can really see the growth and how much the boys have progressed.

In regards to this weekend, we will have our last official practice tomorrow at Camp D from 5:00p to about 6:15p. Our last official games will be on Saturday 5/15 (Confirmed). The first game is 10:00a - 11:00a (please arrive at 9:30a to give us time to get equipment on and get warmed up) and the second game is from 11:00a - 12:00p (if you can only make this game please try to arrive at about 10:50 or as close to 11a as possible). If there is a conflict and you can't make one or both of the games we totally understand.

Its been a fun season and hopefully your boys had fun and learned a lot about the game of lacrosse.

See you all Friday!

Practice and Games tomorrow
by posted 05/07/2021

Good afternoon parents,

I can't believe that we are nearing the end of our first competitive lacrosse season. I want to congratulate all of the boys, they did a great job last weekend. They all gave great effort, and I was excited we got a chance to play with three middies in the second game. We got a chance to get more kids on the field at once and it more closely resembled how the older kids play lacrosse.

Today we will practice at 5pm and go until about 6:15p at Camp D. This is our last practice of the year. The next time we meet I believe will be for our annual stick swap game. Thats where the boys trade sticks with the girls and play a fun game of lacrosse. I hope to have more info to share about that next week (If I need to collect game jerseys I will do so at this event).  *Update* I actually just looked on the Master Schedule and it looks like we may have another game against Oak Hills on the 15th, no location has been assigned so I will let you all know if that game is a go as soon as I get confirmation.

Tomorrow we have 2 games at Clear Creek Park at 10a and 11a. We will be playing Sycamore for both games. Just as a heads up they will play most of their 2nd graders for the first game, and their K-1 players for game 2. The first game may resemble the Kings game, but I know our boys will still go out have fun and work hard.

Looking forward to seeing you all tonight,

Scott Dean
